Volunteers

Volunteers are what make this sale so successful. We would love for you to join our volunteer team!

The process is so simple! Just go to the register page and follow the prompts. Volunteers are asked to work at least one four-hour shift during the sale.

Volunteer Policy Changes for the Spring 2012:

• All volunteers must work at least 1 shift prior to their pre-sale
• Pre-Sale bands will be distributed at the completion of your 1st volunteer shift.
• All volunteers will be “floaters” and will be placed where needed during the sale.
• Any consignor who fails to show for a volunteer shift will be charged a $25 No Show Fee.
• Any “volunteer only” who fails to show for a shift, will not be allowed to participate in the next sale
• Only “sort” volunteers will be allowed to shop the 75% off sale – sort shifts do not count toward regular shifts.
• Guests are not allowed at pre-sales.

4 Hour Volunteers
Qualifications & rewards:  

• Must work at least one four-hour shift at the sale
• Must complete a Volunteer Contract
• Shop early - Receive one pass to the 4 Hour Volunteer Pre-sale
• Receive One Pass for a friend to attend the Consignor Pre-Sale

8 Hour Volunteers
Qualifications & rewards:  

• Must work at least two four-hour shifts at the sale
• Must complete Volunteer Contract
• Shop early - Receive one pass to the 8 Hour Volunteer Pre-sale
• 70% commission on sale of consigned merchandise
• Eligible to be put on the Super Volunteer waiting list
• Receive One Pass for a friend to attend the Consignor Pre-Sale

Sort Volunteers

• Earn a pass to the 75% Off Sale
• Sort shifts are not accumulative and do not count toward any other volunteer opportunities.

Super Volunteers

• There are a limited number of positions for Super Volunteers and currently all super volunteer spots are filled.  If you are interested in becoming more involved with the MamaCents Sale, let us know and we will keep you in mind for future openings.

Volunteer Pass Program

We realize that some mamas cannot volunteer due to a variety of reasons and we want to make our special Pre-Sale available to those mamas.  If you are on bed rest, cannot get off work or cannot volunteer for a traditional shift, these are perfect for you. 

Gift Cards - There are a limited number of 4-Hr Volunteer Presale passes available in exchange for a $25 dollar Gift Card.  Sign Up to purchase a gift card (under volunteers) in exchange for a 4-Hour Volunteer Pre-Sale pass.

Marketing Mamas – There are a limited number of Presale passes available for moms who cannot volunteer, but can help us deliver marketing material in January & February to mama friendly businesses.  Contact us for more information on how to become a Marketing Mama in exchange for a 4-Hour Volunteer Pre-Sale Pass.

Please note: purchasing a gift card DOES NOT give you an additional percentage if you are consigning.  When they are gone they are gone.

75% Off Shop Exclusively for Sort Volunteers!

Each sale we have a special “power shop”. So, this year if you work at least 4 hours in the SORT shift - get ready to “run with the bulls”—and get some deals of a lifetime. Please remember you have to work the SORT shift at least 4 hours in order to qualify to shop at this time. This is separate from your other volunteer hours.

The items that will be available to purchase are those that have not been picked up by consignors and those items that were marked donate. All items sold during this extra sale will be credited towards the consignor. Any items still left after this sale will be donated. This is just another opportunity for consignors to sell their items, and for us to show appreciation for our Sort Volunteers..

Volunteer Positions include:

Please note: Volunteers will no longer sign up for a specific position; you will be placed where you are needed during your volunteer shift.  Some areas you may be asked to help out in are

Check in and inspection - In this position you are really the keepers of the inventory. Your keen eye makes our sale second to none in quality. So, if you are very, very, detail oriented, this is the position for you.

Operation Assist - We need a few strong mamas or daddies to help here. Loading and unloading fixtures and set up/take down is one thing this position covers. Also, our operation assistants help load furniture and large items once they have been purchased. This is a perfect place for hubby to help earn a pass to the volunteer presale!

Cashiering - Using our scanning system, you have the opportunity to help us be good stewards of our consignors merchandise. This is very fast paced....you are trained...and we have lots of Super Volunteers to help you out in a jam.

Merchandising - If you are an organizational "nut" then this is a perfect place for you. It is very fast paced, so you must be ready to do your aerobics. You will also be "fluffing" merchandise to make it look "pretty" and full. Lots of fun!

Security - If you would like to be an "Enforcer" this would be perfect for you. As our sale grows making sure that we have eyes on the floor at all times...everywhere...is critical to making sure that we are doing everything to secure our consignors merchandise.
